Il Prof. Nicola Fusco del Dipartimento di Matematica "Renato Caccioppoli" e coordinatore della Scuola Superiore Meridionale, terrà un seminario intitolato:

 

"The Ohta-Kawasaki model for diblock copolymers: stability and minimality of critical points"

 

ABSTRACT

Ohta-Kawasaki diffuse-interface energy and its sharp-interface counterpart have been since long proposed as a model to describe microphase separation in diblock copolymer melts. The same model and similar ones have also been used in other pattern formation problems. We shall discuss local minimality of stable critical configurations of the Ohta-Kawasaki energy. As a byproduct we will address global and local minimality of certain lamellar and spherical configurations.
