Super B

SuperB experiment is the first and largest strategic research project financed by the Italian Ministry of University and Research with a budget of € 250.000.000 in 5 years . It has a very ambitious scientific programs aimed to open new frontiers of physics and at the same time develop and practice new technologies in many fields.

The detector will be constructed by a collaboration of laboratories and universities from many countries, including Canada, Italy, France, Poland, Russia, Spain, The United Kingdom and the United States.

In Programma Nazionale della Ricerca 2011-2013 (National Research Program 2011-2013) strategic projects are listed and described; among these, on page 83 the SUPER B FACTORY an international INFN project.

The people in ACEL are involved mostly in the study definition and realization of error detecting /error correcting codes for optical links in the DAQ, Data AcQuisition as described in the detector chapter page 76-83.
